One of the most important things to consider when building your own home is the color you intend to paint it with. It is important that you get this step right as not being able to do so could have catastrophic effects on your overall design. A word of advice: get some help from nature.
Consider the landscape that surrounds your house. Do you have a bunch of trees circling your property? If so then earthly shades of green and brown would be nice. For beach houses, why not go for blues, corals colors, or even turquoises. Just be sure the color of your home fits in with what surrounds it.
