Popular Home Design Trends: “Universal Designs”

It seems as though the time has come to say goodbye to the likes of high cabinets, sunken living rooms, and spiral staircases. Aside from having high aesthetic values, elements such as these are not very practical in terms of cost and functionality.
This is why homes with “universal designs” continue to rise in popularity in various architectural circles. Because of the necessity to satisfy the needs of people of different ages and abilities, designs are becoming more generic so that everyone is able to move around the house with minimal difficulty. Even if some family members may have some sort of physical limitation, universal designs should make them feel more comfortable inside the house.
